Anyone?
Um, I know it's been over a month since I've posted. Mostly because I've been ashamed of my eating habits. I've been acting like I've been on vacation. But, hey, I'm not the only author of this blog! Feel free to chime in any time with a post of your own.
I really shouldn't be listed as a contributor!!! In fact, my sister checked out the blog and wondered why my name was listed as a contributor because the entries sound like some one who knows what they're talking about. She knows me too well :)
i've actually ben feeling a bit guilty about that... i've set a health-related goal that i've already bombed... maybe if i'd written something i would have felt more pressure to do it! ;)
Megan, I have a new smoothie recipe that I think is pretty healthy. Maybe you could check it out and see exactly how healthy it is. Our RS had a Health Nite Enrichment. The sister gave us a taste of her Green Smoothie (it's Spinach, which has tons of nutrients in it). In a blender, put... 1 banana (frozen really makes the texture creamier and stays thick longer) 1 Handful of Spinach (add more if you're feeling super healthy) Fill blender 1/2 full of OJ (I use Tropicana No Pulp Calcium + Vit D.) Blend till smooth.
I add strawberries to it because Adam says he can taste the spinach otherwise. I have a small blender (enough for one serving), so this recipe is perfect for a breakfast smoothie and I just drink it on my way to class.
I love this site and think it's a great idea! I need some help with eating healthy as well, and I'm trying to get Adam to do the same. I hope this recipe makes someone else happy!
What diet works best for you? What's your favorite healthy recipe? Are you into organic and natural products? What's your exercise regime? What helpful hint did your doctor/dietician/personal trainer give you last? How do you get your kids to eat their vegetables? Please, do tell!
